Dayplot

Dayplot is a personal monthly planner for plans you do not need to share. It keeps the useful parts of a calendar without accounts, invitations, shared schedules or heavy notification settings.

Use it for your own deadlines, shifts, assignments and plans — including things you would rather not write on a calendar in the office or classroom. There are no times, recurring events or push notifications.

Adding a plan

  1. Click a day
  2. Type a title (press Enter to open a notes field for the details; line breaks work there)
  3. Pick one of five colours
  4. Press the check button to save

Notes

  • You can add as many entries to a day as you like
  • A day shows up to three; beyond that you'll see "+N"

Editing and deleting

Click a bar to open it for editing.

  • Change the title, the notes or the colour
  • See the span (e.g. 07.23 – 07.25)
  • Delete it with the trash icon in the top right
  • While you're editing, the days it covers are tinted, so you can see exactly what you're touching

Drawing a span (Gantt-style)

  1. Press on a day and drag sideways (either direction works)
  2. Let go, and the entry panel opens
  3. Give it a title and a colour, and the bar is drawn

Notes

  • A span crossing weeks is split across rows, with the title shown on the first segment only
  • To change a span, delete it and draw it again — that's the quickest way

Reading the screen

Shapes mean things in Dayplot:

  • A rounded bar — something you wrote
  • A square tag — something the system is telling you (a public holiday)
  • A thin frame around a cell — today
  • A slightly tinted cell — a day with something planned

Public holidays

  • Tick Holiday on the left to show holiday names beside the dates
  • The country is detected from your browser's language setting
  • Add ?country=xx to the URL to choose it yourself; your choice is remembered (e.g. /schedule?country=th)
  • Holiday names appear in the local language of the country
  • The data is updated every year

Ten countries are supported:

  • Japan (jp) / United States (us) / United Kingdom (gb) / France (fr) / Germany (de)
  • India (in) / Indonesia (id) / Thailand (th) / Canada (ca) / Australia (au)

Changing the view

  • The MON / SUN toggle sets the first day of the week (your choice is remembered)
  • The month you were viewing is remembered — switch tabs or reload, and you come back to it
  • The mini calendar on the left browses ahead independently. Click any date there to move the main calendar to that month
